Thank you to the publisher for inviting me on the blog tour for this exciting new novel by Hannah Mary McKinnon and for the eARC of this title via NetGalley.

ABOUT THE BOOK:
Beauty. Wealth. Success.
She’s got it all.
And it all should’ve been mine.
When Eleanor Hardwicke’s beloved father dies, her world is further shattered by a gut-wrenching secret: the man she’s grieving isn’t really her dad. Eleanor was the product of an affair and her biological father is still out there, living blissfully with the family he chose. With her personal life spiraling, a desperate Eleanor seeks him out, leading her to uncover another branch on her family tree—an infuriatingly enviable half sister.
Perfectly perfect Victoria has everything Eleanor could ever dream of. Loving childhood, luxury home, devoted husband. All of it stolen from Eleanor, who plans to take it back. After all, good sisters are supposed to share. And quiet little Eleanor has been waiting far too long for her turn to play.

MY REVIEW:
This novel is an addictive read from beginning to end. While Eleanor’s father is in hospital about to pass away, she finds out that he isn’t her biological father. Eleanor cuts ties with her mother and sister who have treated her awful for her whole life. On the course of finding her biological father, she finds that he is married, with a daughter very close to her own age, and that his family have it all – prestige, wealth, a good home.
After approaching her biological father at his workplace one day, he rejects her and wants nothing to do with her and doesn’t want her in his or his new family’s lives. Shunned and heart broken, Eleanor decides to find and befriend her half-sister Victoria. They are the same age, Victoria is beautiful, lives in a gorgeous home, has money, and is happily married. Eleanor decides to keep her identity and connection to Victoria a secret, at least for now, and the two quickly hit it off and become quite close friends in a short time. Eleanor is thrilled that they seem to have hit it off so nicely, and is unsure how to reveal her true identity to her half-sister afraid of what Victoria will think of her, and she now doesn’t want to lose the friendship that they have built.
An addictive read that will hook you in and keep you hooked until you turn the very last page. With shocking twists, turns and surprises, and several revelations that will shock you, and leaves you with a plot twist at the end that you will not see coming! An amazing book that is hands down one of my favourites of this year!
