Hi everyone and welcome to my stop on the Blog Tour for the new novel I Know You’re There by Sarah Simpson. Thank you to Aria Fiction for inviting me to be a part of the tour and for the e copy of the book via NetGalley.

Is your house as safe as you think?

Natalie spent most of her childhood feeling afraid. So when she moved into her cosy little flat in St Ives and met her three friendly neighbours, she knew at once it was somewhere she’d feel safe.

Before long, Natalie’s neighbours have become the family she never had. Kind, motherly Morwenna, serious, reliable Nigel, and sweet, anxious Daniel. They collect each other’s mail, water each other’s plants, and share each others lives.

But as Natalie knows all too well, the people who are closest to you can also be the most dangerous. And this house is not as safe as she thinks.

I enjoyed this book and the suspense that builds as you read the chapters. You know there is a shoe to drop but you don’t know when and I loved that aspect of the book. Natalie doesn’t trust just anyone and with good reason. She has a troubled past. But she feels safe with her neighbours and trusts them but should she? Her world as she knows it could crumble down at any given moment.

I enjoyed reading about Natalie as the main character and her relationship and interaction with all of her neighbours. They were like a close little family and did things for one another. But is everyone who they say they are or are they hiding something?

I enjoyed how the chapters alternated between each characters point of view. Some chapters were told from Natalie’s perspective then would switch to another chapter from another perspective. A unique way of writing which I found added to the enjoyment and thrill of the novel. It also allowed you to get to know each character in the story a bit more which I enjoyed.

Overall a great book that was a joy to read.

MY RATING: 4/5 stars
