This book! Wow! A true page turner of a book! If you haven’t read this book, seriously, you need to. Look at the cover! My gosh, so gorgeous I love it. I seriously could not put this book down, it was simply that good!

This book follows the story of Lucy Albright and Stephen DeMarco, told from both of their point of views, from both past and present. The timelines of the story eventually meet up near the end of the book to the present, as their story slowly unfolds and we learn about their whirlwind relationship. Lucy is from New York and moves to California to attend College where she meets Stephen, an attractive man who is oh so wrong for her. But she cannot resist his charms. They begin a romance, where Lucy falls for him… and hard. She has so many feelings for him, only to be heart broken by him.

Their relationship and steamy romance is toxic, and Lucy begins to feel maybe they shouldn’t be together, and despite how many times Stephen lets let down, she cannot seem to stay away from him. She keeps going back to the toxic relationship.

Their relationship is full of toxicity, lies, betrayal and heartbreak. Their on again-off again relationship isn’t really going anywhere and yet Lucy cannot seem to move on. Stephen seems to want her one minute, then is cold towards her the next. What is going on? Will they be able to move past this?

Will Lucy keep crawling back to Stephen and fall over and over again for him despite all the lies and betrayal? You’ll have to read this fantastic book to find out!

Book Review: The Ex-Wife by Jess Ryder

Image result for the ex wife book

This book follows the story of Natasha and her husband Nick. Their life is perfect – they are happily married, they have a young daughter Emily, and Nick has a very successful, well-paying job. Natasha is a stay at home mom and has everything she could ever want. They live a life of luxury and money is not an obstacle. Nick loves his little family, doting on Natasha and Emily every chance he gets. There is just one problem…. Nick’s ex-wife Jen.

Jen seems to still have feelings for Nick, and Natasha gets the feeling that Jen wants Nick back. Jen is always calling Nick for one thing or another, even stopping by the house unexpectedly to see Nick. Nick’s sister has a new baby, and she asks Nick and Jen to be the baby’s godparents, much to the annoyance of Natasha. Nick’s family doesn’t seem to like Natasha, and even though they have been married for a few years they seem to despise her. They seem to still love Jen, they think the world of her.

The story hooks us in from the very beginning. It is a very well written story, and it tells us how Nick and Natasha first met and fell in love. When they met, Nick was still married to Jen, but eventually Natasha got pregnant and Nick decided to leave his wife Jen and get a divorce. Eventually Nick and Natasha get married.

This book was amazing! I loved how it was written, from two different point of views; part from Jen’s and part from Natasha’s. The book was also written in two different timelines; now and then. It wasn’t confusing at all to follow the story, and I really enjoyed that. The book held your attention and interest from the very beginning right through to the end. I read this book in just over a day it was that good.

There are a lot of twists and turns in this book, that are both thrilling and gripping. I loved how the story played out and how all your questions were answered in time. There were many parts of this book that had you guessing all the way through, and a few times you will find yourself questioning whose side you were on, and who was telling the truth.

The ending! Oh my gosh! Without giving too much away, I’ll leave it at that. But I loved this book and I thoroughly enjoyed it! Perfect read for any fan who loves a psychological thrilling book.

Book Review: My Husband’s Lies by Caroline England

Image result for my husbands lies

This book follows the life of 4 friends, known since their childhood as the “A team”. They have been friends since they were younger, and are now adults. The story is told in different POV’s. The 4 friends are Jen, Nick, Will and Dan. Jen is now married and they have 3 daughters together. Nick has just recently gotten married. Will is married with no children. And Dan is expecting a baby with his girlfriend. The story is a bit confusing at first as it jumps around from narrator to narrator and it takes some time to figure out who they all are and how they tie in together.

They are all keeping secrets, not only from each other but from the other important people in their lives. As you read through the story those secrets are revealed and the story begins to unfold.

The story begins with the night of Nick’s wedding to his wife Lisa. Something shocking is about to happen at their wedding – one of their friends is about to do something life-threatening…or is she? Someone they know well (or do they?) is found at the window ledge of the hotel they are at. Is she going to jump? What is going on? So much deception and lies, and they are all involved.

Overall I enjoyed this book, and you learn so much about the characters in the book. It had me wanting to know what would happen next, and had a few twists and turns to keep you guessing and wanting more. Great read for anyone who loves suspense and thriller type books.

If you love psychological thriller books then you will love this book! This was my first book I have read by Harding and WOW!! What a fantastic read and it won’t be my last from this author! I read this book in just over 24 hours, it was hard to put down because I found myself wanting to continue reading more to find out what would happen next. Lies, betrayal, murder, deception…this book has it all! Plus look at that cover! I LOVE LOVE the cover! So beautiful.

Frances Metcalfe is a married, stay at home mom trying to raise her troubled and often misunderstood son Marcus. He attends an elite private school and is picked on and bullied, singled out from other children. Frances doesn’t feel like she fits in with the other moms, and she is often talked about and being judged by the other moms whose children attend the same elite school. Frances doesn’t have any friends, that is until she meets Kate Randolph.

Kate is beautiful, witty, friendly and she seems to really like Frances. She doesn’t seem judgmental but in fact sticks up for Frances and her son Marcus. Frances and Kate become really close friendly quickly and what’s even better, Kate has a son too! Kate and Frances’ sons become good friends quickly as well, how good can this be?

Ali wakes up one morning with a throbbing in her head. What happened last night? Why can’t she remember anything? Groggy and confused, she goes into the bathroom and looks at herself in the mirror, only to discover she is shocked by what she sees staring back at her – a reflection of herself that she clearly knows must be herself only there is one problem… the face she is seeing in the mirror is not her own!

This book takes you on a heck of a ride as you slowly uncover the events of the night before. I found myself reading this book and not wanting to put it down. It sucks you in from the beginning and holds your attention until the very end and that’s the type of book that I love.

There are several twists and turns in the book, that will keep you reading all night long. Shocking events happen throughout and revelations that will have you gasping as you read. There are even shocking twists near the end. Just when you think you have it figured out. Guess what… You just may be wrong. 🙂

This was my first book I have read by Louise Jensen and it definitely won’t be my last. I loved her style of writing and the way you hooked in from the very beginning. Very well written I just loved this book.

What happened on the night before? Why can’t Ali remember anything? And why did she wake up with blood on her hands? You’ll have to read this amazing thriller of a book to find out! 🙂

Book Review: I See You by Clare Mackintosh

Gripping, thrilling, and one heck of a roller-coaster ride. A must read for fans of psychological thriller books. This was the second book I have read by Clare Mackintosh and she does disappoint. This book so very well written in a way that pulls you in from the very beginning. A true page turner, you will be up reading all hours of the night as you find yourself wanting to know what happens next.

This book follow the life of Zoe Walker. Imagine taking the subway train to work everyday, living your life as normal. Day in day out, the same routine of taking the subway to work, which seat you sit in on the subway train, which platform you exit from, etc, only to find out you are being watched.. Whoever is watching you knows where you work, how old you are, what you look like, and they are following you. But who is it? The nice, attractive man sitting next to you on the subway who smiles at you when your eyes meet? Who is watching you? Why are they watching you? Zoe finds she is not sure who she can trust, or who she can turn to for help.

A few times I thought I figured out who was behind everything in the book only to find out I was wrong. This book has several twists and turns, with a final twist at the very end which I loved!

If you’re a fan of thrillers, then this book is a must to add to your to be read collection.

WOW!! Gripping, thrilling, and one heck of a roller-coaster ride! Fans of psychological thrillers, you will not be disappointed! This book takes you on a journey that messes with your mind. You think you have it all figured out and then you start to second guess yourself. Who is telling the truth?

Catherine Bailey is out for a night on the town with some of her girlfriends, when she meets a young man at the door of a club. His name is Lee and he had blonde hair, blue eyes, and is gorgeous and mysterious. And he seems to really like Catherine. Out of all her friends he lies her. She cannot believe her luck.

They begin a whirlwind of a romance, and he is the perfect boyfriend. All of her friends adore Lee and are always telling Catherine how lucky she is to have found such a wonderful man like Lee. They tell her they wish they had such an amazing boyfriend like him and Catherine is so very happy to have found Lee.

A few months later, Lee becomes controlling and displays erratic behaviour. Sometimes violent, sometimes condescending. None of Catherine’s friends see Lee treat her this way and they continue to tell her how he is such a fantastic boyfriend.

A few years later Lee ends up in jail and Catherine (now Cathy) is trying to live a new life, far away from the life she had with Lee. She trusts no one.

Was Lee really the controlling, violent man Catherine says he was? Or was he the doting, attractive, thoughtful man every one of her friends says that he is? Who is telling the truth? You’ll have to read the book to find out. 🙂
